Navratri represents a celebration of the Goddess Amba (Durga). "Nava"- 'Ratri" literally means "Nine Nights". This Navratri is also known as Maha-Navratri or Sharad Navratri. During Navratri we invoke the energy aspect of God in the form of the universal mother, commonly referred to as "Durga" which literally means the romver of miseries of life. She is also referred to as "Devi" or "Shakti". Worshipping the nine Goddess is the primary ritual of any Navratri Puja.Navrati comes five times a year, but mostly celebrated is Sharad Navratri or called "Maha-Navratri(the great navratri) and is celebrated in the first day(Partipada) of the bright fortnight of the lunar month and it is celebrated during the of beginning of September -October
