Independence Day 2014 Speech in English

Here in this article we are going to provide you the Happy 68th Independence Day Essay in English. Have a look.

Starting – A very good morning to all my honourable chief guest, all the respected teachers and all my sisters and brothers

We all are aware of the reason why we all are here. The obvious reason is to celebrate our 68th Independence Day of our country India.  The Independence Day is one of the well know festivals of India. There are so many kind of people stay in India. From different religion, from different traditions but on this auspicious day they all become one unit and with this brother hood feeling they all celebrate the Independence Day. If we talk about the day when we all got the complete right of being called independent then it would be the time when all the memorable freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bbhagat singh gave their everything to bring the democracy in India. If we move on towards the history of Independence Day then in 1947 the congress party won the elections from Britishers and on a specific day i.e. 15th August 1947 we all were independent.

After that day and till now every year we celebrate the Independence Day with lots of fun and happiness because celebrating this day with happiness is a small tribute to all the freedom fighters who have given their complete life to bring happiness in our life. Have any one of you wondered any time, what if these freedom fighters didn’t sacrificed the way they did sacrificed for us. I think we would still be in the rule of European people. Our life would be life a slave but we are living in open n free surrounding. In this day lots of people think to do something for the country but the problem is that they just think and obviously a single person cannot bring a huge change and if we want to see a huge change in our country then we all should think about it because it is not about one, it’s about all.
Lastly I would like to request you all to sing national anthem with me to honour the sacrifices and bravery of all the freedom fighters.
Vande Mataram

Thank you.
